Thanks for you attention – now on to the chat portion of #PrintChat!

A while back we did a chat about creating #print from digital media, but we focused the hour on a personalized travel scrapbook.

I want to revisit this topic for one major reason – @FLICKR has started a printing service and is now printing WALL ART!

Wall art in this case is 8 x 10 to 20 x 30 images printed on canvas or #photo #paper and mounted to hang on a wall.

It’s US only as of now, and @Flickr promises “museum-quality materials” and #printing done by professionals in the United States.

This move either signals the end of #print as we know it, or the start of a lucrative future for forward-thinking printers

Today lets discuss some opportunities that might be out there for #print, and how we can GRAB them before Silicon Valley does!

PLEASE RT THE CHAT QUESTIONS! Engage with your followers and help expand our community – It’s good for #print & good for you!

EVERYBODY READY????????

Q1: What are your thoughts on @Flickr offering a printing service?

Q2: How would the #print industry be impacted if Facebook started a printing service? What materials would make sense for them to offer?

Q3: Based on your answer for Q2, could you implement a process for printing those same materials? What is stopping you?

Q4: What other platforms or apps are ripe for printers to pick up projects from?

Q5: What printed materials could be targeted to the massive online gaming community – and how could you reach them?

Q6: Are you currently gathering info or looking to enter the short run book making market? If no, why is that?

Q7: What is your vision of how print and digital media will work together in the next 5 years?
