Q1: Who are you, and what do you do?  Jamie McLennan,  I am your tour guide to the wonderful world of print – in short your creative print sales person

Q2: When did you know you were hooked on print? I knew I was hooked on print in high school.  In 9th and 10th grade I took print making class which was silk screen, linoleum and wood block printing. In 10th and I took Printing – my teacher told us on the first day “if we wanted to take an easy course we are in the wrong class. When we get done you will be able to make a living on the print industry” I was hooked. As a senior I had advanced printing (not everyone was able to take this) and I was in print class 3-4 classes a day. My teacher had lunch changed to his class and any free period I had was changed so I could learn as much as possible.

Q3: What industry trends should we be watching this year?  – I’m still a fan of AR and would like to see this used more with small business as well as the big companies.  Also watching how small business get involved with marketing automation across all channels – email, print, SoMe etc.

Q5: Why do you #PrintChat? Why should others join in? I Printchat because of Sandy Hubbard   She reached out to many years ago when this chat was just beginning when a group of people were ganging up on print and she needed help setting the record straight. I have tuned in most every week since.  Other printer, designers and print industry types should join in because this is the place to be Wednesday’s at 4. I have made so many life long connections, and learned so much from the group that regularly attends you can put a price on it.  Also I have recommended my connections to those I know can help them when I cannot.
